I want to share my experience at Beond. I think other people considering this treatment deserve to hear from someone who was actually there. Preparation and support — every step of the way One thing I have seen suggested by a few is that there’s little preparation or ongoing support. That was not my experience at all. Every single day, I could sign up for 1:1 coaching sessions on a shared board, it’s impossible to miss — this wasn’t limited or rationed, it was available daily. On top of that, Beond runs daily preparation and integration workshops led by genuinely skilled coaches and therapists. I did sound therapy, daily massages, somatic work, drumming circles, acupuncture, yoga, meditation, water therapy, IFS workshops, and sessions specifically focused on helping me understand my own needs. My coaching was some of the best therapeutic work I’ve ever done — it helped me get to the actual root of why I was there in the first place, not just the surface reason. Hospitality that noticed things before I had to ask: The hospitality team customized everything to me personally. My meals were adjusted for my dietary needs. I’d get a gentle, non-intrusive reminder about my coaching sessions or things I’d signed up for — never pushy, always supportive. I later learned the staff-to-client ratio is around 4:1, and it showed: I never had to ask for anything because my needs were anticipated before I even voiced them. I also witnessed something that stuck with me — a fellow guest was there during a New Year’s celebration from her own culture and religion, far from home. The team learned about it, prepared a full dinner reflecting her tradition, and invited every guest to join her celebration if they wanted. That’s the kind of personalization I mean — not a brochure promise, but something they actually built for one person’s specific life. A quick note on rooms: they’re all private (I know some other centers use shared rooms, which surprised me when I heard it). A saw that a few rooms run smaller, most are quite nice — if room size matters to you, just ask for a larger one when you book. Every room was cleaned daily, and every bed was comfortable regardless of room size. Medical care that healed old wounds instead of causing new ones: I have a needle phobia and past medical trauma, so this part mattered enormously to me. I felt completely safe before, during, and after treatment. The technology they use is top-tier, and there’s a full medical team present day and night — each with their own specialties — so I never once felt medically unsupported. Blood draws and EKGs were done with real care and compassion. The nursing team (and there are dozens of them) is trained in trauma-informed, compassionate care. Honestly, I didn’t just get through my medical fears at Beond — I feel like the experience actively healed the medical trauma I walked in with. What it actually gave me: I went into the Health Optimization track for personal growth — I was stuck in looping thoughts, afraid to move toward goals and projects I actually wanted to build. I left with something I didn’t expect: a real transformation, renewed faith in humanity, and most importantly, faith in myself. I know now that I can face hard things and find a strength in myself I didn’t trust before. I credit that to the medicine being dosed properly in a genuinely safe environment, held by a team that cared the whole way through. I still feel wrapped in the warmth, kindness, professionalism, and compassion of that team. That’s not something you fake for a review — it’s something that stays with you.+4Place is amazing. The medicine itself is profoundly powerful, but what made the experience extraordinary was the love, care, and intention with which it is delivered at every step. It is rare in life to find a place where you genuinely feel that every person cares deeply about you and wishes healing, nurturing, and transformation for you. You feel it in every interaction, with every member of the team. There is a genuine level of care here that, unfortunately, we have become so accustomed to not expecting from people in the outside world. I witnessed the medicine changing people’s lives, giving them hope and, in some cases, giving them their lives back. But the healing does not come only from the medicine or the staff. There is also something incredibly powerful about the community among the patients. Many people arrive having spent years battling internally, feeling misunderstood, disconnected, or unable to feel fully accepted or comfortable around others. Then, together, we go through this incredibly vulnerable process. There is something profound about being surrounded by people who understand what you are experiencing; people who see you deeply, not just for the pain and experiences you have carried, but for the person underneath them. The love, understanding, and connection that develops between patients becomes part of the healing itself. There is truly something special happening here, something I believe humans and humanity deeply need. I also think there is sometimes a misunderstanding about Beond’s price point and what you are actually paying for. The price is not primarily for luxury accommodation or a high-end resort experience. A significant part of what you are paying for is the medical infrastructure, doctors, nurses, equipment, protocols, monitoring, and level of care surrounding the medicine. Beond has created an environment specifically designed around delivering this experience with a high level of medical oversight and support. Yes, you can find places where the medicine itself is available for considerably less. But that is not necessarily the same product or experience. If your priority is simply taking the medicine, there are cheaper options. If your priority is having it delivered within a highly structured medical environment, surrounded by a team whose entire focus is caring for you through an extraordinarily vulnerable process, that is what you are paying for at Beond. Could the accommodation itself be more luxurious? Of course. But personally, I would take exceptional medical care, expertise, safety, and genuine human connection over a more luxurious room any day. And investing heavily in creating a luxury-resort environment would only push the price higher and potentially make the treatment less accessible to the people who need it. Beond is also building something that has never existed before: a model for delivering this medicine at scale while maintaining a high standard of care. Whenever something entirely new is being developed and scaled, there will inevitably be moments of friction and things that can be improved. That is part of building something new and does not, in my experience, reflect the genuine level of care and good intention I saw throughout my stay. It makes me sad when reviews focus heavily on relatively small points of friction while acknowledging that the medicine itself was profound or that their lives were changed by the experience. Of course, no person or place can be perfect 100% of the time. But those things feel very small compared with what Beond is actually accomplishing. What stands out to me is the profound medicine, the extraordinary people delivering it, the medical care surrounding it, and the collective healing that happens among the people walking this path alongside you. There is something truly special happening at Beond. The medicine is profound. The people are extraordinary. The care is genuine. And most importantly, you are not alone!!!
Putting a star rating on this experience was difficult because ibogaine itself is an incredible medicine, and I experienced very real benefits from it. I’ve worked with psychedelics before and understand how powerful and transformational these medicines can be. The positives: The staff at Beond are genuinely lovely, the medical supervision made me feel safe, and the connections I made with other guests were incredibly meaningful. When I raised concerns about my accommodation, they also did their best to accommodate me and moved me to another room. The negatives: The facility and program were very different from what I believed I was booking based on the website, extensive application process and significant cost. I came specifically for the Mood & Mental Health program expecting a genuinely trauma-informed environment with meaningful preparation, therapeutic support, integration and practical tools to take home. Unfortunately, that simply wasn’t my experience. The application process took hours and gave me confidence that I was entering a highly personalised program where my history and needs had been carefully considered. Instead, I found very little meaningful trauma support or therapeutic direction. At times, I actually found myself supporting other guests who were struggling to process difficult experiences from the medicine. The coaches were lovely, caring people, but in my experience there was very little structure, direction or depth to the therapeutic work. More concerningly, since leaving there has been virtually no meaningful follow-up care or integration support offered to me, which feels like a significant gap when working with medicine this powerful. The facility itself also felt completely misrepresented compared with what I believed I was booking online. I expected the beautiful, spacious, beachside healing environment portrayed on the website. My initial room was incredibly small, dark and claustrophobic—it was a shock and the complete opposite of what I expected at this price point, thankfully I was moved after 3 nights, but even the bigger room had mould, many outstanding repairs and was no where near the standard promoted on the website. The food was also fairly average and, overall, the physical experience simply didn’t reflect what is being marketed. Having now experienced the program, I also believe I could have received a very similar medically supervised ibogaine experience elsewhere for around half the cost. That’s what makes this review difficult. The medicine is extraordinary and the staff are genuinely lovely. I’m incredibly grateful I went because ibogaine had a profound impact on me, and I will always value the people I met there. But I think it’s important to separate the power of ibogaine from the program surrounding it. If your primary goal is to experience ibogaine in a medically supervised environment with kind people, Beond does that very well. But if you are specifically seeking comprehensive trauma-informed treatment, meaningful preparation, skilled therapeutic guidance, structured integration and practical tools to support you when you return to real life, this is not what I received. It’s sad because Beond has enormous potential. With medicine this powerful, beautiful facilities and caring staff, it could offer something truly world-class. But at this price point, I believe there needs to be far greater transparency between what is portrayed and marketed and what guests actually experience. I’m still deeply grateful I went. I’m grateful for the medicine, grateful for the people but I just wish the program surrounding such an extraordinary medicine had lived up to its potential.This is probably the most complicated 3-star review I will ever write. Ibogaine profoundly changed my life, and I will always be grateful I had access to it. Beond provides something incredibly valuable: a medically supervised environment where people can receive an extremely powerful medicine with real medical risks. My criticism is not about ibogaine. It is about how the program surrounding the medicine was represented compared with what I actually experienced. Before committing, I specifically asked about preparation, integration, and aftercare. Those were major reasons I chose Beond and was willing to pay more than double what I could have paid elsewhere. I wasn’t looking for the cheapest place to receive ibogaine. I wanted something comprehensive. Based on Beond’s marketing, reviews, podcasts, reputation, and my conversations before arriving, I believed the premium price reflected a premium level of care before, during, and especially after the medicine. That was not my experience. If Beond had simply told me, “Our greatest strength is providing a medically supervised environment for ibogaine. The accommodations are basic, and our preparation, integration, and long-term aftercare are limited,” I still would have gone. I was that desperate for help. I didn’t need to be sold a dream. I needed the truth. I’ve worked in addiction treatment and have personally been through residential treatment many times. I’ve seen what can happen when vulnerable people and desperate families are sold hope through marketing that doesn’t match what they ultimately receive. That is exactly what I never wanted to feel about Beond. I cannot speak to anyone’s intentions. I can only describe my experience. But the gap between what I believed I was purchasing and what I actually received left me feeling that parts of the program were oversold to justify a premium price. That’s especially frustrating because I don’t think Beond needs to oversell anything. What they actually provide is valuable enough. Be transparent. Show the actual accommodations. Clearly explain what preparation is provided, what “integration” actually consists of, and what aftercare exists once someone returns home. Don’t market a comprehensive luxury transformation experience if your greatest strength is providing medical oversight for an extraordinarily powerful medicine. That service alone has tremendous value. There is an important distinction that can easily get lost with something as profound as ibogaine: Ibogaine and Beond are not the same thing. When a medicine creates an experience that powerful, it’s easy to walk away believing the entire program was incredible because the outcome was incredible. But a life-changing medicine does not automatically make the program surrounding it exceptional. The staff treated me with kindness. The connections I made with the other people there were extraordinary. And ibogaine gave me more than I ever imagined possible. I arrived at Beond as someone who didn’t want to get high, but also didn’t want to live. I had run out of answers. I knew how to stay sober. I didn’t know how to want my life. I left wanting my life. That is why this review is so complicated. Would I do ibogaine again? Absolutely. Would I return to Beond? Probably not. Gratitude doesn’t require silence. When people spend significant amounts of money, travel to another country, undergo a medically serious treatment, and place their lives in someone else’s hands, transparency should be one of the highest responsibilities of the organization caring for them. Beond has access to something genuinely extraordinary. My experience with ibogaine changed my life, and I will forever be grateful I had a medically supervised place to experience it. Highly recommend.+38The only reason I’m giving this review is because I want people, like me, to do their research. The reviews of Beond are 5 stars, and I agree that the people at this facility are, hands down, amazing. But if people are coming here to read reviews to determine whether to drop $10,000–$20,000 on an experience to help them recover from addiction, depression, or anxiety, I would be very, very cautious. The people at Beond, the experience, and the people I met were, hands down, incredible. I mean, it’s not perfect, but overall, the people who work at Beond are genuinely some of the most amazing people I have ever met. My experience with ibogaine was another story. For me, it was the most traumatic experience of my life. It taught me a lot, 100%, but I left the facility feeling utterly depressed—more than I have ever felt in my life. Not sad, but depressed. I flew home in a daze. I couldn’t listen to music. I couldn’t watch a movie. Nothing could make me feel happy. I was absolutely terrified that I would feel this way forever. And sadly, it didn’t help with my addiction at all. In fact, I was worse. When I got home, all I wanted was something to make me feel better—alcohol, kratom, anything that would make me feel something again. It’s been a month and a half, and I’m finally back to my old self. But that was, hands down, the scariest experience of my life. There are soooo many people who benefit from this amazing drug, but don’t go in with expectations. It might not be what you hope for. And be careful about what you read. While I was at the facility - I would say 60% of people had great experiences and 40% had really bad ones. It’s a gamble. And I want to pay it forward to someone like myself that didn’t know what to expect. Also - note - there are two facilities! One looks luxurious on the beach, and that’s not reality, unless you are paying a crap ton of money. Do a ton of research on the drug, and most importantly - how it can affect your life after the experience. I had no idea I wouldn’t sleep for a while. You can’t drink, you need rest… etc. This isn’t a two week thing - you have to go into it knowing this will be a six month life change. And I’m disappointed that beond didn’t prepare me for that. Am I glad I did it? 100%. But it didn’t help with my addiction, anxiety, or depression. Happy to answer any questions!I just got back from Beond two weeks ago and had the most amazing, transformational experience. Everything from the accommodations, staff, activities, food, and overall experience was five stars. I came to Beond looking for a reset and left with a roadmap for an entirely new chapter of my life. But beneath that, I’ve also navigated addiction, divorce, chronic pain, anxiety, and depression, and spent years trying to understand the patterns that kept showing up in my life. My experience with ibogaine was the most transformational experience of my life. I learned my core wound, my life purpose, and a roadmap for how to build a new life. On my second journey, I even met the grandfather of ibogaine, and he gave me an elite seven-hour coaching session during my second journey! I came looking for a reset. I came into this experience knowing that no medicine, program, or person could simply “fix” me. The staff, facilitators, coaches, medical team, practitioners, and the women in my cohort created an experience I will carry with me for the REST of my life. I felt seen, cared for, challenged, supported, and allowed to be fully human. I would not describe Beond or ibogaine as a miracle or a magic cure. The work still belongs to us, especially when we return home. But I can say that this experience allowed things to happen within me that feel nothing short of miraculous. It helped me reconnect with myself, with other people, with a sense of peace, and with trust in my own ability to move through life differently. Beond did not give me a new life. It helped me recognize that I am capable of being fully present for the life I ALREADY have, and that I have a role and CHOICE in creating what comes next. The education, coaching, and structure provided here have given me a solid foundation for returning home with clarity and intention. Beond staff is amazing, they were kind and professional throughout the entire experience! I loved it!I only have an opinion of my experience in the earliest of stages with Beond. I added 4 stars instead of less because I believe they are doing great things for others. Here’s my issue: After researching for weeks and many discussions with family, I decided to contact Beond for treatment. Unfortunately they are backed up with potential patients and can’t work fast to get you in. After I filled out the questionnaire, it tells you that you will be put in line before speaking to a doctor about possible treatment. Unfortunately they give you “zero” idea of when you will receive a call, so they give you the option to pay $49 to move up the line. Unfortunately, the next email I received after paying was telling me the soonest video call wouldn’t be for a month. A month I have to wait before finding out if I’m even potentially going to be accepted for treatment. The reason that is an issue is because the treatment can take up to 10 days. Since I live in the US and have to travel to Mexico for this treatment, this is “life” altering because of work and family responsibilities. Another words, I’m waiting a month to know if I have to make major changes to allow the time to get to Mexico and back. Everything is literally “ON HOLD” because I don't know if I’m coming or going. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the video call due to the stress of waiting to find out what the next steps in my life are. I was counting on this “natural” medicine and considered it an emergency for my condition. I even had a family member willing to invest the $20K in me to get better. I may be making this more dramatic than it needs to be, but this felt like a treatment that could actually have helped me heal and be able to participate in life again. I had my hopes up. Unfortunately life is filled with disappointments. If you are considering Ibogaine, just know that it is a long wait just to find out if it’s even an option. So another words, if it’s an emergency treatment you need, Beond is not the right option for you. To Beond: suggestion is having enough staff to take these calls within a couple days to see who is a potential candidate. I understand you can’t treat everyone immediately because of the demand but at least allow folks to ask specific questions and find out if they should even hold out hope. In the US, we have very little options for treatment resistant depression/anxiety. When you find a possible solution like Ibogaine, you feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel.I only have good things to say about Beond. They are compassionate and decent humans. Shoutout to Anthony, the client care and service he provided was impeccable!I'm just recovering,life changing,I'll never fear anyone or anything ever again.I finally feel ready to share my experience, almost a year after I stayed at Beond. My impression was that they were focusing on scaling more than they were focused on quality. I was one of few women clients and felt uncomfortable amongst so many men, some of which were predatory to me. The website was misleading on multiple fronts. When I arrived, I was housed in a shabby "Green House" building not advertised and told I could not switch to the serene "White House". Despite the weekly schedule listed on the website showing a flood dose and two boosters, when I arrived they were planning on giving me only one booster. I had to lobby hard to get my second. I wasn't offered a coaching session after my flood dose, and had to hunt down coaches thereafter to process what I was going through with the medicine. They also out-of-the-blue offered a different medicine, 5-meo-DMT, which was never discussed before arrival nor intentioned for. The grounds were not designed to be accessible to those with disabilities, for example there are no ramps for wheelchair or cane users. The onboarding emails and in-person intake processes were chaotic and confusing, and it was not designed for someone with cognitive issues. I lost items that were important to me after they completely reorganized my suitcase. I had to ask daily to have the flashing pool lights turned off, as I have a seizure risk, and the rotating staff members didn't know how to change the settings. Their lack of accessibility was shocking because TBI is perhaps the most highly studied indication for ibogaine. Most harmful was that when I was on the medicine, I was emotionally manipulated by staff who were following rigid protocols that didn't make sense contextually, which reinstated my trust issues and was a distraction from deeper work. Despite them telling me constantly "anything at all to make you comfortable!!" the policies are designed around what's convenient to staff. After I left, it took me 10 follow-ups with 5 different people and 24 days to get access to my medical records. I do want to credit that there were some fantastic, wise staff members. They also let me postpone my dates when I needed a surgery, without penalty. Ibogaine gets 1 million gold stars, my goodness what it did for me! But overall I would not refer my community to Beond.Extremely disappointing experience. We spent over 2–3 months working through the admission process for a close friend of mine who is dealing with severe PTSD, drug addiction, depression and suicidal thoughts. From the very beginning, we were completely transparent that he is wheelchair-bound due to a motorbike accident. At no point during the early stages were we told this would be an issue. In fact, we were led to believe it wouldn’t be a barrier to entry. After waiting over 8 weeks for a consultation and putting all hope into this facility, he was ultimately told he could not attend purely due to being in a wheelchair. The impact this has had has been significant. This wasn’t just another option for him—this was his last real hope of getting help and turning his life around. To go through such a long process, only to be turned away at the end, has been devastating. I understand facilities have limitations, but this should have been identified and communicated clearly at the very start—not after months of waiting and emotional investment. If you or a loved one has accessibility requirements, I would strongly recommend confirming this upfront before committing to the process.Amazing community of people here. Beond staff and members have created an impressive culture revolving around love, compassion, and empathy without judgement that makes healing so natural for all their guests.
