Born in Tamaulipas, Mexico and raised in Atlanta, GA. Vianey graduated and received her BSN from a private nursing university. Vianey initially worked in the General Hospital of Cancun carrying out RN duties in the E.R , I.C.U, NICU, Pediatrics, OBGYN-delivery and also Internal Medicine. Vianey joined Clear Sky Recovery in 2018, where she cared for and treated over 500+ clients with ibogaine to help interrupt addiction, substance abuse and heal psychological disorders.
Dr. Ramirez is a licensed emergency medicine doctor since 2013 after graduating from Guadalajara University. He has extensive experience with patient preparation, customized treatment planning, and medical oversight of all aspects of clinical ibogaine-assisted treatments. Dr. Ramirez worked as an air ambulance physician and in emergency rooms at the most respected private hospitals in Cancun, MX, where he maintains admitting privileges.
Graduated as a Register Nurse from the Universidad de las Americas Puebla (UDLAP) in 2016, with a specialty in Intensive Care from the Universidad Autónoma de Mexico (UNAM) in 2020. My professional journey began by gaining experience in both public and private hospital emergency rooms during 3 years, subsequently, I worked as an intensive care nurse for 2 years, providing care to critically ill patients.
What I love most about working with plant medicines at BEOND is having the opportunity to witness the radical life transformation in our patients. Thanks to ibogaine and the therapeutic process they undergo they are able to reclaim their lives, acquire new tools, develop positive habits, and, above all, find peace by no longer relying on addictive substances.

Dr Sidney Peykar is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist (heart rhythm specialist ) practicing in Southwest Florida for more than 15 years. He serves as a senior Cardiology Advisor to the clinical director of Beond. After years of performing thousands of electrophysiology procedures, Dr Peykar’s focus has shifted to the mind body/heart connection and healing through meditation and psychedelic assisted therapy. Dr Peykar is an advisor to Beond for protocols to allow the safe delivery of ibogaine and prevention of cardiac arrhythmias during treatment.

With extensive experience in both public and private hospitals, he serves in emergency and intensive care settings, providing critical support to patients in their most vulnerable moments.

Dr. Jesús Bautista graduated from the Medical School of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico City in 2014 and completed his specialty in Emergency Medicine at the Universidad Autónoma de Quintana Roo in 2021. He holds certification from the Mexican Council of Emergency Medicine, valid through 2026. Dr. Bautista is currently affiliated with the Regional General Hospital No. 17 of the Mexican Institute of Social Security, where he served as Chief Professor of the Emergency Medicine specialty in 2022. Since 2021, he has also been part of the Intensive Care Unit staff at Playamed Hospital.
Throughout his career, Dr. Bautista has embodied trust, empathy, and commitment—values that align with the mission at Beond. His practice goes beyond addressing immediate medical concerns, focusing on treating the whole person with care and compassion, fostering a supportive and safe environment for healing.
Dr. Thomas Kingsley Brown has been researching, writing about, and speaking about ibogaine treatment for substance dependence since 2009, when he interviewed patients at a treatment center in Baja California, Mexico to learn about their experiences. With funding from MAPS (the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) he then conducted a Mexico-based study of outcomes for people receiving ibogaine-assisted treatment for opioid dependence. He has published a review article on ibogaine treatment (Current Drug Abuse Reviews, 2013), an article on the results of the research study (T.K. Brown and K. Alper, American Journal of Drug and Alcohol Abuse, 2017) and an article on the therapeutic role of the altered states elicited by ibogaine (T.K. Brown, G.E. Noller, and J.O. Denenberg, J. Psychedelic Studies, 2019). He has been an invited speaker at several conferences, including the National Harm Reduction Conference (USA), Horizons: Perspectives on Psychedelics (New York City), the European Ibogaine Conference (Wien), TEDx Venice Beach, the annual conference of the American Association of Addiction Psychiatry, and the 2018 Colloquium on Psychedelic Psychiatry (Stockholm). Dr. Brown’s academic training is in chemistry (B.S., University of Pittsburgh; M.S., California Institute of Technology) and anthropology (Ph.D., UC San Diego).
Dr. Joseph Barsuglia is a clinical and research psychologist, and an advisor in psychedelic medicine and alternative healthcare. His mission is to create safe and sacred settings for working with psychedelic/earth medicines for healing and spiritual awakening. His expertise is working with ibogaine and 5-MeO-DMT.
He served as the Director of Research and CEO at Crossroads Treatment Center in Mexico, a psychedelic treatment center. In this role, Joseph presented the first and largest observational research on 5-MeO-DMT and ibogaine, novel brain imaging data, and developed guidelines for the administration of 5-MeO-DMT.Joseph recently worked as a co-investigator in phase 2 clinical trials of MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy for PTSD sponsored by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) in Los Angeles.
His research is published in multiple peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Barsulgia, PhD serves as the lead advisor on research and development of procedures and protocols for the treatment of trauma at Beond.
Dr. Rob Palmer is a graduate from the Yale School of Medicine, where he conducts research on mindfulness meditation for substance use, ADHD, and self-compassion. In addition, Rob has been involved in psychedelic research for several years, including projects involving ayahuasca, ibogaine, 5-MeO-DMT, and ketamine. He’s long been drawn to the intersection of various disciplines, such as psychedelics, psychotherapy, and somatic practices, and delights in exploring how to pioneer integrative treatments. Rob has also had a personal meditation practice for the past fourteen years and has facilitated meditation groups at Yale for the past five years. In his meditation groups for Beond, Rob will draw upon mindfulness, self-compassion, and Internal Family Systems therapy to help participants gain a deeper awareness of their bodies and minds so that they can more harmoniously and lovingly tend to and integrate the various parts of their personality as they continue their journeys.
Jennifer Zuckerman is a US based, Nurse Practitioner who supports individuals in transitioning from pharmaceutical medications using a more holistic approach with plant medicine alternatives, preparing them for psychedelic assisted therapy and post care integration support.
Jenn received her nursing degree from Rush University and her Masters as a Family Nurse Practitioner from DePaul University in 2013. She first worked as an RN with Traumatic Brain Injured patients in an Acute Rehab Setting and then practiced Medical-Surgical nursing. Her experience as an NP is in Internal Medicine. Jenn is also a certified microdosing coach.
Jenn is most passionate about guiding individuals in their process of reconnecting to their highest selves and their own inner compass.
Rod majored in neuroscience at NYU where he studied the mind through the lens of psychoactive substance. Rod became a research assistant at the NYU Psilocybin Project, which convinced him to pursue a career in psychiatry. He received his masters in biomedical sciences at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, and did his thesis in the lab of Dr. Scott Edwards on the neurobiology of hyperalgesia during opioid withdrawal. He then continued on for medical school at LSU in New Orleans, during which he served as a night sitter on MAPS’ trial of MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy for PTSD, and hung around the Nichols lab to learn about the anti-inflammatory effects of serotonergic psychedelics. Rod plans to start residency in psychiatry in the summer of 2022 in Los Angeles.
Maria is a beacon in the field of psychedelic-assisted therapy, with a deep commitment to guiding individuals through transformative healing journeys. As a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist, she brings a rich tapestry of knowledge and empathy to Beond’s practice, specializing in ibogaine-assisted preparation and integration. Her work is grounded in legal and ethical standards, including clinical trials and Health Canada’s Special Access Programme (SAP). Her expertise is certified by respected institutions: MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy for PTSD from MAPS, Compassionate Inquiry by Gabor Maté for trauma and addiction, Psilocybin Assisted Psychotherapy for end-of-life distress by Therapsil, and the Integrative Psychiatry Institute’s certification as a Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Facilitator.
Maria’s therapeutic approach for Beond’s clients is holistic, integrating trauma-informed care, somatic experiencing, compassionate inquiry, and psychodynamic insights. Her practice merges science with spirituality, informed by her own transformative experiences with visionary plants and a dedication to the healing potential of psychedelic therapies. Maria’s specialties include addressing addiction, trauma, PTSD, domestic violence, identity exploration, and supporting recovery from challenging psychedelic experiences. Maria offers a path to healing that is both innovative and grounded, inviting individuals to prepare for and integrate their ibogaine experience in a safe and supportive environment. Her approach not only aims to heal but also to empower individuals in their journey towards wholeness and self-discovery.
Lori believes that those struggling with addiction and mental health challenges are beautifully sensitive, epically courageous, and wildly creative souls with very bright futures. She helps her clients remember who they truly are apart from their current state of suffering, helps them discover what they want to become, and provides accountability for incremental changes so clients can create lives they love living. Lori is a lifelong truth-seeker, wellness advocate, best-selling author, and adventure enthusiast who brings decades of experience in addiction recovery, emotional wellbeing, and psychedelic integration coaching. Ibogaine holds a special place in her heart as it launched her into a deep dive for personal healing. Ayahuasca, ketamine, psilocybin, and 5-MeO-DMT are also medicines she knows well and helps clients prep/integrate. Her focus areas are healing anxiety, depression, eating disorders, alcoholism, and consumerism. Coaching clients from survival to soul-thrival is her honor and privilege.
Antonio has been a psychologist for 13 years working with affective disorders and substance use disorders. He has been trained in brief-strategic therapy, as well as the psychodynamic therapy model.
Antonio has worked with several government agencies, universities and N.G.O based mental health and social education projects in Mexico City, Playa del Carmen and Cancun.
He received his psychology degree from Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla. His training in psychotherapy on brief-strategic therapy is from the Milton Erickson Institute of Mexico City and his psychodynamic psychotherapy training is from Universidad La Salle Cancún. He received a Masters in Social Sciences from Universidad Pablo de Olavide, Spain.
Along with his full time clinical practice at Beond, he also dedicates himself to teaching in different universities.
Tyler battled his way through a ten-year opiate addiction before reconnecting with his true self and facing his shadow. Through his transformation process, Tyler found solace and reinforcement through surfing, yoga, meditation, and alternative spiritual modalities to reconstruct his perspective on life. Through his 10-year struggle with IV heroin use, he realized everyone experiences some kind of trauma. Everyone has experienced pain in one form or the other. Our context and perspective on the struggle can empower us to use our hardships not as a negative but as a positive component to move forward. We can be a powerful influence on ourselves and the people around us.
Tyler has a deep passion for psychology and our individual perspectives on life. He graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Tyler also spent a couple of years working with two different ibogaine centers facilitating preparation and integration through Ibogaine treatment for addiction and PTSD. In addition, he has worked with many families around the fears and apprehensions of sending their loved ones to partake in such a powerful treatment for addiction and personal growth.
Erika is a facilitator and medicine woman trained by 10th Generation Bwiti Shaman Moughenda. She holds space for guests to show up fully to rediscover and reclaim what’s meaningful to them, and reawaken their existing genius and potential to shape their worlds. As a CODE Model Quantum coach & educator, Erika presents a new paradigm for living where the limitless nature of our Immense Beings becomes the context from which we can create our lives. We get to choose who we want to be. She both holds traditional Missoko Bwiti fire ceremonies sharing the teachings of Iboga & helps guests to navigate their Ibogaine journeys. To help process & integrate the experience, she incorporates the listening to and unlocking of the brilliance of the body while encouraging the movement and alchemy of energy. We change ourselves to change our lives.
As Pre-Admissions Lead, Bo stands as the first point of contact for clients warmly introducing them to the process and answering any inquiries they may have about the experience. Before his current position, Bo was an essential part of the Welcome Team at Nue Life Health, a psychedelic mental health platform. His professional journey also includes co-founding Branding Creativity in Los Angeles, where he led strategy and nurtured client relationships. This experience honed his expertise in customer service, forming a solid foundation for his contributions to the field of mental wellness and psychedelic-assisted therapy.
Derek grew up in various locations in California, including Anaheim, Riverside, Moreno Valley, Orange County, and even Cancun. As a Client Care Specialist at Beond, his role involves ensuring smooth arrivals to Beond and safe returns home after treatment, along with handling general logistics. After completing high school in 2013, Derek embarked on a career as an ESL teacher, earning certifications like TOEFL, IELTS, and TKT, and providing education to various age groups. He also ran his private ESL institute and gained experience in the hotel and tourism industry. Derek later co-founded a holistic center facilitating plant medicine ceremonies and retreats. He briefly worked as a supervisor at a COVID-19 clinic before joining Beond. Besides working at Beond, Derek also has a passion for music and has a significant role in The Hive Collective and his band Holographist.
Born in Mexico City, Laura is a Client Care Specialist at Beond with over 15 years of experience in customer service. Her role involves working closely with clients, developing good communication, and understanding their needs. Laura has faced intense personal challenges that led to a profound experience with psychedelics, shifting her consciousness and inspiring a passion for their potential in mental health care. This transformative experience motivated her to dedicate her career to helping others navigate their healing journeys. Daniela‘s journey with Beond started as a Water Therapy practitioner, leading her to her current role as a Client Experience Architect. In this capacity, she curates and creates exciting onsite activities and events for clients, drawing on her expertise and tools acquired over the years. Daniela is originally from Central Mexico and raised in Cancun. She holds a BA in Event Management from Gestalt Design School. With a diverse professional background, including roles as an Event Supervisor and experience in watsu water therapy, education and customer service, Daniela’s true passion lies in planning and organization to create moments that matter.
Lina, born and raised in Colombia, is a healing facilitator offering restorative Yoga, Human Design, Sound Therapy, and biomagnetism at Beond. With a journey that began in 2007 in Chile as a certified Watsu professional practitioner, Lina expanded her skills through Quiromasaje in South America and workshops in Southeast Asia. Training in Yoga and Thai massage in Thailand contributed to her evolving healing practices. Lina‘s quest for self-healing led her to explore Human Design, becoming a practitioner. Her job’s beauty lies in witnessing the rebirth of individuals within Beond’s healing embrace, finding profound joy in their resilience and transformative journeys. For Lina, shared knowledge serves as a beacon, guiding individuals toward self-empowerment and fulfillment.
Karely, born in Mérida, Yucatan, and raised on Cozumel Island, is dedicated to providing profound sensorial experiences and fostering meaningful connections to personal growth. Since 2011, Karely has immersed herself in meditation, sound healing, and traditional practices, becoming certified in energetic healing. From 2014, she has shared her expertise in sound healing and medicine music. As a manager at a holistic center in 2016, Karely deepened her engagement with medicine music, inspired by Mayan teachings. Her love for music, rooted in childhood, found spiritual connection in sacred plant ceremonies involving cacao and psilocybin since 2014. Witnessing joy after sessions is her greatest reward at Beond, where she is grateful to contribute to holistic well-being.
Gloria was born in Mexico City and later moved to Cuernavaca, where she delved into the study of traditional medicine and energy healing at the age of 23. With 25 years of experience in massage, Chinese medicine, and cupping, Gloria is a massage therapist at Beond. Her professional journey includes studying naturopathy and traditional Chinese medicine at Morelos University. Gloria’s life mission is to improve the life experience of others by providing a harmonious, peaceful, and relaxing experience at Beond.
Born and raised in Mexico City, Lorena studied Psychology for her undergraduate degree before moving to Cancun. At Beond, she shares the ancient practice of QiGong, aiming to cleanse the physical and energetic body, release emotions, and align with the energy around us. Lorena’s journey involves exploring the integration of psychological and spiritual aspects, leading her to courses in shamanism, mindfulness, and QiGong teacher training. Richard Valdovinos, born and raised in Cancún, Quintana Roo, brings a wealth of experience and passion to his crucial role at Beond. His academic journey began with a Bachelor‘s degree in Nursing from “La Salle School,” followed by pursuing a master’s degree in education at the “Inter-American University for Development.” Richard has vital certifications from the American Heart Association and diverse work experience in critical areas like emergency and adult intensive care. Inspired by his personal transformation with ibogaine, he is dedicated to working with this medicine. At Beond, Richard values the sense of belonging and community, finding immense support from patients and colleagues, fueling his commitment to positively impact lives.
Cinthia was born in Cancun, Mexico, and currently serves as a registered nurse and nursing supervisor at Beond. She holds diverse certifications, including ACLS, psychological first aid, clinical certification in addictions, addictions and nutrition, psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, and psychotraumatology. In addition to traditional medicine, Cinthia brings valuable experience in working with plant medicines. Her unique perspective and spiritual beliefs guide her specialization in transformative therapies. She developed the Ceremonial Ice Plunge experience while studying Wim Hof. Cinthia finds great fulfillment in assisting individuals on their transformative journeys at Beond, not only providing medical care but also fostering a compassionate and supportive environment for clients.
Nazh serves in the night shift nursing role at Beond, bringing years of experience as a certified nurse. Originally from Mexico City, she earned her degree from UNAM and worked in various hospitals, including Amerimed Hospital and Galenia Hospital. Nazh spent a decade at Clear Sky Ibogaine, solidifying her foundational experience with ibogaine. At Beond, she passionately contributes to patients’ recovery, guiding them through transformative journeys. She finds immense satisfaction in being an integral part of their improvement process and enjoys the supportive atmosphere, collaborative engagement with colleagues, and the peaceful environment at Beond. With diverse experience in private hospitals and a passion for health optimization, Karla‘s unique perspective and warmth contribute to holistic care at Beond. Her empathy, curiosity, and commitment to helping others, especially in addiction, shape her meaningful work, bringing peace and safety to Beond’s guests.
Hilda, a registered nurse born in Querétaro, is a compassionate caregiver at Beond. With a diverse background, including working in schools for kids with autism, hospitals, and hotels, Hilda has returned to the Mexican Caribbean to work at Beond. She cherishes the love, compassion, and positive transformations she witnesses in clients at Beond, making a significant impact on their lives.
Elena, a registered nurse from Cd. Obregon, Sonora, contributes to client well-being at Beond. Graduating in 2022, Elena‘s experience includes working in gynecological hospitals and a dermatology clinic before joining Beond in 2023. Gaby was born and raised in Mexico City before relocating to the heart of the Riviera Maya for a better quality of life. As the Head of Hospitality at Beond, she coordinates maintenance, housekeeping, and nutrition areas. Gaby studied International Relations and gained experience in companies like the Mexican Petroleum Company, Atari, and Apple, where she realized the importance of technological evolution. Her journey led her to the medical world, emphasizing healing and compassion. Working at Beond for two years in a healing clinic focused on psychedelics, addiction, and trauma, Gaby finds satisfaction in witnessing the evolution and success of guests, contributing to her own healing and growth.
Ray was born and initially raised in Toluca, Mexico. With a background in Gastronomy, he is the Head Chef and mastermind behind Beond‘s Nutrition and Hospitality department. Ray’s primary role involves coordinating and managing the creation of flavorful and nourishing meals for the guests‘ body and soul. After graduating, he embarked on a journey, including a magical three-year experience with Walt Disney World Company, working with Iron Master Chefs and growing his passion for service. Transitioning to healing clinics focusing on psychedelics and the treatment of addiction and PTSD, Ray’s six years of experience have shown him the transformative power of healthy and high-quality food in healing not just the body but also the heart and soul of guests. Brenda Hernandez, with over 20 years of experience in Finance and Administration, has a rich professional background and a Bachelor’s degree in Administration, specializing in Finance. In September 2023, she joined Beond as an accountant, marking a notable advancement in her career. Originally from Mexico City, she moved to Quintana Roo to pursue her passion for scuba diving in the mystical Cenotes, an experience that profoundly transformed her perspective on life. This relocation exposed her to the therapeutic benefits of Ibogaine, witnessing first-hand its powerful effect on physical and mental healing.
